What are your office hours?

We are open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm and on Saturdays 10am to 4pm.  The office is closed on Sunday.

What are the gate access hours?

Once you are a tenant at Plainfield Self Storage you receive 24 hour electronic gate access without an additional cost.  You are free to visit your storage bin when it is convenient for you, not when our hours dictate!

What do I need to rent a storage unit?

To rent a storage unit you will need to provide the following;
- Valid license or photo ID
- Address information
- Employment information/Alternate contact information
- First months payment and move in fee

If you bring all of the required items to the office your move in should take no longer than 10 minutes once you decide on your unit size.  As soon as we accept payment and generate your gate access code you are ready to start moving in!

Do I have to sign a long term lease?

No.  Plainfield Self Storage works with month to month leases.  That means that you can use the storage for the time period that you need to use it - no getting stuck signing a long lease with no way out if you don't need the space anymore.  When your ready to move out we only ask for a short notice period.

Is there a minimum lease term?

There is a one month lease requirement for renting a storage unit at Plainfield Self Storage.

Can I purchase a lock there or should I bring my own?

You could purchase a lock here or you could bring your own, the question is why would you when we give you a FREE lock just for signing up!  Along with locks we carry a whole supply of packing/moving materials at affordable prices.

What kind of billing & payment options do you offer?

You can choose whatever billing & payment option that fits into your life best.  We offer automatic monthly credit card charge, free email invoices, prepayment specials and online credit card payments.  Never has been paying your monthly storage bill been more convenient then we make it here at Plainfield Self Storage.  We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Money Orders, Personal/Business Checks and cash.

Why isn't there any rate and availability information on your site?

Since we strive to give our customers the very best rate for self storage.  We take steps to insure that we can provide you the best possible rate for storage by doing the following;  we keep our costs down and we closely monitor our area competitors to make sure we remain competitive.  Since we allow ourselves the flexibility to change our rates and specials to provide you the best rate at any given time, we have stopped posting our rates and specials online.  Our current rates are only a call or email away so feel free to contact us for them anytime!

Unit availability varies often, when you contact the office for your rates we will be more than happy to provide you with the availability of the units you are interested in.
